Ok, here’s another blog which includes my friend Glenn. Actually he has been a close friend to my husband for over 30 years! They met when my husband was in high school.
Anyway, we were at the store Glenn manages, Merridian, here in Nashville and yesterday and he allowed me to take some photos in the store. They carry an array of imported furniture and accessories. It’s kind of like a Pier One but bigger and better. Here’s a photo of a flower on a table they had that was set beautifully with wonderful, rectangular, large, textured glass plates. Loved them, but a little too expensive and large for me.
This picture makes me think that it should be in Bon Appetit Magazine or something. Maybe I’ll turn out to be a commercial photographer …now that would be awesome!

Not only do I love trees, I love flowers as well. I usually try to keep flowers on my desk. My friend Patti at work loves flowers more than me. This is a picture of a flower that she brought and placed on our receptionist’s desk. I thought they were pretty and snapped some shots. Of course I played with this in my editing software and I kinda like the way it turned out. Hope you do too. I’ll call it “Velvet Petals”.
I took a missions trip with Christ Church Choir to the Ukraine several years ago and had not thought too much about flowers until that trip. They are everywhere in the Ukraine. We saw millions of sunflowers growing in the sunflower fields on our trip from Odessa to Kiev. I guess you could say that my eyes were opened to the beauty of flowers on my trip to the Ukraine. One thing I did find out recently is that Ukrainians do not give an even number of flowers to anyone unless it is for a funeral or the event of a death. Remember that next time you send a Ukrainian some flowers.
