A Dying Breed ?

This is my very old ‘boom box’ (remember those?) that I’ve had for years.  It’s sits on my desk after having been passed around to other co-workers for a while.  It still works even with a broken antenna and a ‘dirty sounding’ knob and sometimes, though rare, I still turn it on and listen.  Most of the time I listen to my iPod on my iPhone or Pandora Radio.  I used to have Satellite Radio, but I figured out I didn’t want to keep paying for that when I had all these other choices.  SO…..What with Pandora, MP3 files, iTunes, iPods, Satellite Radio, PodCasts etc., etc., etc.  I wonder what the future is for our good ole’ terrestrial radio in 5 to 10 years?

1 PicADay Project: Day 334

I don’t usually take photographs of food, probably because I consume it too quickly.  Anyway, I went to my friend’s house on Sunday to participate in a taste-test before they open a pizza restaurant. The pizza was delicious and I decided to snap a photo of a slice. Here it is. I don’t know if it works or not, but it does look appetizing to me.

Gazing: Part deux

In the photo that I posted yesterday of Madi gazing up at something…here’s what she saw when she looked up.  Does anybody know what and where this is?

Krystal Klear

My imperfect but beautiful crystal that I keep on my desk.  I placed it in the sunshine in my car and snapped a photo.

1 PicADay Project: Day 248

I rarely read the paper and when I do it’s only the comics and the ‘home’ section.  Here’s a photo of the comics section of The Tennessean from a couple of weeks ago.  I did saturate it a little when editing it in Picnik.

1 PicADay Project: Day 209

Gumball machine at Pizza Hut. Can you spot the eyeball?

Made you look. There’s no eyeball, silly. Just a gumball with an iris. Hee hee!

Taken with my iPhone and edited with PSMobile and something else but I can’t remember what.

1 PicADay Project: Day 202

Just my pineapple vase and candle that sit on my coffee table.  I love the colors and contrast in photos of glass.

1 PicADay Project: Day 201

Ok, so I guess it’s way past due for a self portrait.  Here’s a self portrait in heat vision style.  I used my iPhone with Photogene and Cinema FX apps.  Does my yellow face mean I’m only luke-warm?

1 PicADay Project: Day 176

I think I like this.  We have about 375 DVD’s on a huge white shelf in our living room and I took this picture of the DVD’s on one of the shelves.  Anyway, I like the colors.  Taken with my Canon SLR.
