Zach in Central Park

I went back through my photos from our NYC trip in March and found a few more that I want to post.  Here’s one of Zach resting on a bench on the Mall at Central Park.  (I guess you use the word ‘on’ instead of ‘in’?)

I think the kids were more tired than we were.  Wusses!

(Taken with Canon SX120IS and edited in Picnik)

1 PicADay Project: Day 278

Here’s a photo of a very sweet looking old man on the subway in NYC. He looked as tired as we were after walking miles around the city

Taken with my iPhone and the Hipstamatic app.

1 PicADay Project: Day 229

Lady Liberty Seagull

We took the boat over to Liberty Island to visit The Statue of  Liberty.  It was very, very cold, windy, rainy and gray.  But it was still beautiful.  When we rounded the island and she was standing there so tall and sure, I got a little tear in my eye.  I love my country and I love what she stands for.  Every Amercian should have a chance to see her up close.  (I’ll post a photo of her later)

As we were walking (and shivering) around the island  I saw this little seagull who seemed to be guarding Lady Liberty.  I snapped this photo and edited it in Picnik.  I LOVE BIRDS!

View from the Top of the Empire State Building

This was taken with a Canon S110 from the top of the Empire State Building during our recent trip to NYC.  I love NY!

1 PicADay Project: Day 210

So it’s our first day in NYC and we’re so glad we’ve arrived just in time for the monsoon. We actually went to The Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center), took in a Beoadway Play (The Miracle Worker w/ Abigail Breslin), walked around Times Square and ate NYC pizza, a hot dog and pretzel!!! And that was only after we arrived at our hotel at 4:25.
Here’s a photo of my son and daughter eating a pretzel in Time’s Square.

1 PicADay Project: Day 63

Here’s another panorama shot that I took on my last visit to New York City.  My husband was playing at Lincoln Center so when we went for sound check I took this photo through the window of Lincoln Center overlooking Central Park.  If I didn’t live in Tennessee I’d live in NYC! 🙂
