The Other Ring
I’ve posted my other two rings: my wedding ring and my ‘Randy’ ring. Here’s the ring I wear on my right hand.

Ok, I need some real critiques here. I’m not very good at exposure or portraits. I was playing around tonight to try and get some shots for Zach’s graduation announcements. Let me know.

Hope your Holiday Season is going great so far. Here is a photo of a Christmas tree and it’s reflection in a mirror. I took this with my iPhone in a store in Seaside Florida at Thanksgiving. So natural and beautiful.

Here’s a downtown Nashville Fence…
Here’s a photo that I took at a flea market….I think it speaks volumes for the Nashville Culture. 🙂
A diseased leaf on a tree in my back yard. I do not profess to be an outdoor horticulturalist so who knows what it is, how the tree got it or how to get rid of it. Don’t really care. 🙂 If it dies then I’ll buy another.

Here’s the full version of the photo that I use in my blog header above. It’s a flower that I keep on my desk at work. I used a ‘dry brush’ setting in editing to make it look sorta like a painting… if I haven’t mentioned it….I LOVE FLOWERS!
Here’s another photo I took at the Spaghetti Factory in downtown Nashville. This restaurant has several old stained glass windows. I love the colors and the patterns! 🙂

Even though the leaves have only just begun to change here in Tennessee this year, I pulled this photo out from last fall. I took it on Natchez Trace Parkway on a Sunday afternoon when my son and I went for a drive.
Natchez Trace Parkway begins in Natchez, Mississippi and ends near Nashville TN. It is only a two lane road with a speed limit of 40 miles per hour on one long stretch and never exceeding 50 miles per hour on the other portion. It is a very pristine and beautiful drive and is 444 miles long. Commercial vehicles are prohibited and it has numerous historical sites to see along the way. Originally it was a game trail used by Natchez, Choctaw and Chickasaw peoples in the late 18th century.
I have a friend, Rick, who lives near the Trace that told me he drove it everyday for a few years to and from work. He said he would turn on his music and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the landscape every morning and afternoon.
I have driven it from Nashville to Tupelo Mississippi with my mother-n-law and children and I might be a little biased but I think the Tennessee portion is the best.

Here’s another photo of my friend Ginger from the other day when I was practicing with my new 50mm lens. Isn’t she lovely?
