1 PicADay Project: Day 364

iPhone Self Portrait and Only 1 More to Go!

I’m so appreciative of all who have stopped by and you who have left comments/ compliments.  I’ve enjoyed meeting (and I use that loosely) you here on the ‘blososphere” (sp) and I’m just in awe at the talented artists I’ve come across since last August.  I’ve learned quite a bit this year and I am still going to take that photography course.  I’ve only been talking about it for a year.  But hey, time and money you know.

About 10 weeks from now I will turn 50.  I’m so grateful to God for blessing me in my life thus far. I’m planning a big milestone birthday celebration!  It will be catered, my husband’s band (LeeAnn Womack’s band) will play jazz and I will be displaying 100 of my favorite photos from this blog.  My party guests, if they so choose, can take one home with them.    Maybe I’ll come back and post some photos from my party. (sorry about the name dropping, but that’s what we Nashvillian’s are so good at.)

I will be starting a new blog in the next month and it will be called “Grace Happens”. I will place the link to it on this blog in a few weeks. I don’t know if I will post on this blog anymore, I will probably incorporate my photos on the new blog. (That is, if I can figure out how to work WordPress.org) It’s greek to me so far.

I’m making it sound so final, but I will be visiting you guys from time to time.

Only one more tomorrow.  I’ll try to make it good. 🙂

The LORD bless you and keep you;  the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.

1 PicADay Project: Day 244

This is a very cropped photo that I took of LeeAnn Womack performing on stage during the George Straight-Reba McEntire Tour.  Needless to say, it’s hard taking good photos with a so-so camera in a concert setting.  Since it wasn’t a very good photo, I played around with it in Picnik so it came out kinda artsy.  ( How do you like the blue roots I gave her?)

She is a beautiful, classy lady that can sing circles around almost anyone.  I guess maybe I’m a little biased since she helps pay our bills.  No not really, it’s a fact!

1 PicADay Project: Day 196

I went to see my husband play with Lee Ann Womack on the George Strait-Reba McEntire tour in Atlanta. I was so proud of him!
This is his hands playing with Kevin Adams (not pictured), Hank Singer (violin) and Mike Waldron (not pictured) serenading us backstage. So fun!

1 PicADay Project: Day 25

1 PicADay Photo #25 (Vahzes)wm

With a mundane routine most weeks I find myself looking for ordinary things in ordinary places to photograph since I don’t get to travel to exciting places like my musician husband gets to do.  (he plays with LeeAnn Womack).

If you look hard enough it’s amazing how much stuff you can find to photograph in your regular boring life, even at Kroger which is one of our local grocery stores.  My husband shops at Publix.  He says “It’s a Pleasure!” 🙂

I saw these colorful vases yesterday when I was grocery shopping and thought they might make an appealing photograph.  I like them anyway.  I love flowers, so it’s just natural that I would love vases to put them in.  I call this one ‘Vahzes’.
