Picture Show (Mirror setting)

Here’s yesterday’s photo using Picture Show’s mirror setting.  This setting is fun to play with on photos because it makes them abstract and really interesting looking.

1 PicADay Project: Day 353

Going Down?

Last Friday night while I was waiting on my daughter to get out of a Praise and Worship meeting with her friends at our church I decided to go inside to our atrium lobby and take some photos with my iPhone and use them to play around with my two new iPhone apps. (Plastic Bullet and Picture Show)

Here’s a photo looking down our escalator. It kinda turned out abstract and you can see the TV Screen in between them hanging on the wall.   I’ll post a few more in my next posts.

1 PicADay Project: Day 344

I visited the famous Loveless Cafe tonight for the birthday celebration of my friend, Denise. They are famous for their awesome biscuits and southern cooking. I ate way too much because it was so delicious.

Carol Fay was known as The Biscuit Lady” and worked at Loveless for many years until her unfortunate passing a few weeks ago. Below is an excerpt from the cafe’s website. http://www.lovelesscafe.com/

“Nationally acclaimed and frequented by celebrities, world travelers and local appetites alike, the Loveless Cafe serves up award-winning country ham and red eye gravy, real Southern-fried chicken, and Nashville’s favorite scratch biscuits with homemade preserves cooked right in the kitchen. The Loveless story has been told the world over, from Gourmet Magazine and Bon Appetit to U.S. News and World Report, CBS Television, and People Magazine. Come discover Loveless for yourself, and experience Southern dining and hospitality at their best.”

I took this photo of their neon sign with my iPhone before leaving and used CinemaFX and PictureShow apps to edit.

1 PicADay Project: Day 331

This is a neon sign in front of a clothing shop in downtown Nashville. So if you’re ever hankerin’ for a Porter Wagonerish rinestone suit then come on down to Opry Originals.

1 PicADay Project: Day 315

Today i have a guest iPhone photographer. My husband is out near Denver Colorado on a farm with the only computer we have. I didn’t know exactly what I was going to do for my blog photo today until he sent me this beautiful photo he took with his iPhone about an hour ago. OMG, I wish I had taken this. It’s beautiful!
All I did was put a very small amount of “charmed glow” on it in CinemaFX app for iPhone.

One of my iPhone photos posted on USAToday.com today

On our last trip to New York City in March of this year we visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art and I used my Hipstamatic App on my iPhone to take a photo of my daughter on the other side of a display in the Asian Exhibit section.  She is 14 but she looks younger in the photo.  Laura Bly, travel reporter for USA Today, posted it today on USAToday.com.  YAY!

1 PicADay Project: Day 280

My husband and I went with some friends tonight to Arrington Vineyards
here in Middle Tennesee. Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn owns it and it is fabulous. On the weekends they have life jazz music and people bring picnic baskets and drink wine while listening to the music. Here’s a photo that I took of our table with my iPhone. I edited it in Photogene and CinemaFX apps.
