1 PicADay Project: Day 362

Dinner for Two

Tuesday night my husband made dinner for me.  Everybody all together now….AWWWW how sweet of him.  He made broiled salmon with cayenne, dill, lemon juice and olive oil–sauteed shrimp with cayenne, butter and fresh garlic–asparagus–salad.  It was delicious.  This photo does not do it justice but I had to snap one before we ate.  Does it make you hungry?

1 PicADay Project: Day 360

Wow, I can’t believe that I only have 5 more days on this project!!!  It’s gone by so quickly!

Here’s a photo of some peppers that I was cutting for my husband’s omelette the other night.  They were so beautiful and colorful that I couldn’t resist taking some shots of them.  I think it took me about 40 minutes to actually get them cut up.  I guess my husband will cut them up himself next time. 🙂

1 PicADay Project: Day 334

I don’t usually take photographs of food, probably because I consume it too quickly.  Anyway, I went to my friend’s house on Sunday to participate in a taste-test before they open a pizza restaurant. The pizza was delicious and I decided to snap a photo of a slice. Here it is. I don’t know if it works or not, but it does look appetizing to me.

1 PicADay Project: Day 280

My husband and I went with some friends tonight to Arrington Vineyards
here in Middle Tennesee. Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn owns it and it is fabulous. On the weekends they have life jazz music and people bring picnic baskets and drink wine while listening to the music. Here’s a photo that I took of our table with my iPhone. I edited it in Photogene and CinemaFX apps.

1 PicADay Project: Day 210

So it’s our first day in NYC and we’re so glad we’ve arrived just in time for the monsoon. We actually went to The Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center), took in a Beoadway Play (The Miracle Worker w/ Abigail Breslin), walked around Times Square and ate NYC pizza, a hot dog and pretzel!!! And that was only after we arrived at our hotel at 4:25.
Here’s a photo of my son and daughter eating a pretzel in Time’s Square.

1 PicADay Project: Day 182

Here’s a photo that I took of my daughter’s bible which I opened up to my favorite Bible story….

The young man became so hungry that even the pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him.  But no one gave him anything.  When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, ‘At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger!  I will go home to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you,  and I am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a hired servant.”

“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.  His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.”

“But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet.  And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast,  for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began.

Luke 15: 16-24 “New Living Translation”

I love that our Father in Heaven throws a party each time we come back to Him.

1 PicADay Project: Day 141

One of my children’s favorite places to eat is Steak ‘n Shake. The other day we went there to eat and I took this photo of the bar stools with my iPhone and edited it in Photogene and CameraKit.
