1 PicADay Project: Day 275

Admiring Empire State

Here’s another photo from our last NYC Trip.  This photo of my family looking at the Empire State Building from the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center) was very out of focus and it was very rainy and foggy that night.  I edited it in Picnik and I think I really like the moodiness of it and the especially the familiar silhouettes of my wonderful family.  To see a before and after, click here.

  1. It is an unusual photo, the blue and the browns are an interesting combination. I like the photo.

    • Thanks….. I just played around with it and that’s how it turned out. I guess I was just thinking about making something that is fun to look at rather than keeping it natural. I have a friend who is a photographer and she loves to keep things natural. I like fun and funky stuff sometimes. 🙂

  2. Your photo transformations are amazing, Jan! This image is so interesting with the deep silhouettes and the moody tones. Really well done! 🙂
